A consultant psychiatrist marks it first. Against the same nine domains the College uses.
A written, examiner-style report on your Scholarly Project: every domain of the assessment framework marked and commented, an overall recommendation, and what to fix before you submit. Back in 10 working days — and not from anyone who will be assessing you.
Audit, literature review, empirical study or case series — most trainees write one Scholarly Project, around a full-time job, with a supervisor who helped design it. That makes your supervisor the worst-placed person to read it cold. An assessor reads it cold.

Why two reads is the one most people take
A conditional pass gives you two weeks to fix it. A second report on your revision means you find out whether the fix worked before the College does — and the A$790 is still less than resubmitting.
What gets marked
Your report follows the College’s assessment framework domain by domain. Each is marked met, partly met or not met, with what’s missing and how to fix it — then an overall recommendation in the College’s terms: pass, conditional pass, or not yet.
Clinical relevance
Does the question matter to psychiatric practice, and does the project say why?
Presentation and content
Structure, length, clarity, and whether a reader can follow it once.
Objectives or hypotheses
Stated, specific, and actually answered by what follows.
Literature review
Current, critical rather than descriptive, and pointing at the gap you fill.
References
Accurate, consistent, and supporting the claims they sit next to.
Methodology
Appropriate to the question, described well enough to repeat, ethics addressed.
Results
Clearly presented, matching the methods, no interpretation smuggled in.
Discussion
Findings set against the literature, limitations owned, not over-claimed.
Conclusion
Follows from the results and answers the objectives — nothing new.
How it works
- 01
You upload the draft
Straight to your account page after booking — PDF or Word. De-identified, as the College requires. Upload any supporting material too: your supervisor’s comments, or the assessors’ feedback if this is a resubmission.
- 02
A marked report comes back in 10 working days
All nine domains, an overall recommendation, and a short list of the changes that will move it most. You get an email; the report is waiting on your account page.
- 03
You revise it
Your project, your words. I comment and point; I don’t rewrite paragraphs or re-run your analysis.
- 04
You upload the revision
On two reads, the second report checks every point from the first: addressed, partly addressed, not addressed.
The questions people actually ask
Is this allowed?
Yes. The College expects you to be the major author and allows help from supervisors and others, as long as the work is yours. This is feedback on your draft — the same thing supervision is, written down by someone who isn’t assessing you. Acknowledge it the way you would any other help.
Can you help with the statistics or rerun my analysis?
I’ll tell you where the analysis doesn’t support the conclusion, or where the method won’t answer the question, and what would. I won’t run it for you — that would stop the project being yours.
Does it work for a literature review or an audit?
Yes. The framework is the same for every project type; the report notes where a domain applies differently (an audit’s “methodology” is its standard and sample, for example) and marks N/A where the College does.
I got a conditional pass. Is there time?
Two weeks is tight against a 10-working-day turnaround, so send a message before booking and you’ll get a straight answer on whether it can come back in time. Then upload the assessors’ feedback with your draft.
What happens to my files?
They go to private storage, not an inbox, and only open through links that expire in minutes. Everything is deleted within 30 days of your final report. Nothing is kept as an example or shown to anyone.
Can you guarantee a pass?
No, and nobody honestly can. No pass rates are claimed, and there’s no refund if the project doesn’t get through.
Being straight with you
- Not a guarantee. No pass rates claimed, no refund on an unsuccessful submission.
- Not ghostwriting. I comment; you write. You stay the major author.
- Not a College service. A practising psychiatrist with no standing in the assessment process and no role in marking Scholarly Projects.
- Not unlimited. Only a small number of reviews are taken each month, so the turnaround stays real.
Writing the Psychotherapy Written Case too? That review is here. Questions before you book? Send them over.
