7 stations, on the real clock.
25:00 in the station, as on the day. Patients, relatives and examiners are played by an AI so you can practise alone, or a colleague runs the station with the script, the findings and the marking sheet.

Acute neurovascular imaging: large vessel occlusion, lobar haemorrhage, venous sinus thrombosis
You are the on-call radiology registrar at a metropolitan comprehensive stroke centre. You will be shown three acute neurovascular cases on the viewer. For each, the examiner will ask you to describe the findings, give the single most likely diagnosis and say what you would do next, including who you would contact. Scroll the full stack of each series before answering. Answer in the order asked; when asked for one diagnosis, give one. You have 25 minutes for all three cases; the examiner will move you on if time runs short.
- Describe the findings on each case systematically, including measurements and scores where relevant.
- Give the single most likely diagnosis for each case.
- State the immediate management implications and how you would communicate them.
02 · Anatomy and AIT papers
Write the answer. Get it marked.
Anatomy (3 h, 180 marks: 20 image-labelling, 30 very short and 20 three-mark short answers, plus 60 MCQs) and AIT (3 h, 150 marks: nine 10-mark constructed responses plus 60 MCQs); constructed-answer time shown here. Every answer is marked point by point against a rubric that rewards what RANZCR examiners reward: specific points, the exact question answered, safe advice.

Case Reporting · medium case · marked against the rubricA 46-year-old woman with right upper quadrant discomfort and normal liver function has a multiphase CT of the liver. Describe the findings (4 marks) and give the most likely diagnosis (2 marks). (6 marks)
“There is a haemangioma in segment VII of the liver measuring 4 cm. Differentials include hypervascular metastasis, hepatocellular carcinoma and focal nodular hyperplasia.”
- ✓Solitary 4 cm lesion in segment VII1/1
- ✗Arterial phase: peripheral, discontinuous nodular enhancement, matching the aorta0/1
- ✗Portal venous and delayed phases: progressive centripetal fill-in, following the blood pool0/1
- ✗Pertinent negatives: no washout or capsule; non-cirrhotic liver0/1
- ✓Diagnosis: hepatic (cavernous) haemangioma, as a single answer1/2
Examiner note: You named the diagnosis instead of describing the findings, so the four finding marks were lost. Examiners want the enhancement pattern that earns the diagnosis. Then the differential list diluted a correct single answer. When the question asks for the most likely diagnosis, give one.
03 · Phase 1 MCQs
Mocks weighted to the blueprint.
MCQ sections of both papers: 60 Anatomy + 60 AIT, 1 mark each; about 2 h 12 min pro rata to marks. Every option explained, including why the wrong ones are wrong, and your weakest areas come back first.

Your exam date, turned into weeks.
Tell it when you sit and how many hours you have. It spreads the curriculum by blueprint weight, slots in mocks, written papers and station circuits, and moves your weakest areas forward as your results come in.
